Agreed with most of the other comments here. When we first got there the waiter was very friendly and served us well. However, our waiter went MIA after we got our food and never returned. We had to ask 4 different wait staff for the check, and all of them made it seem like they were getting it but never came back. After this went on for about 30 minutes, I had to go inside and they still seemed like my request was difficult.

When we did finally get the check, they told me we had to tip atleaat 15%, which bothered me since that is not normal in France, but I wanted to get the hell out of there so I decided not to argue.

The snails were good, but everything isn't worth the price. We came here because it was the first place we stumbled upon but definitely won't be coming back or recommending it to friends.

I wish I could give no stars. This was the first restaurant that I went to when arriving Paris. The server kept bribing us to come in so we decided to go in. But BIG MISTAKE! When he asked us what we wanted to drink, I told him that we want just regular water (thinking tap). He comes out with a bottle "pretending" to open the cap. I didn't hear the cracking sound of the bottle and he did it with one hand who are you trying to fool. Then after we got our food, I asked him for some bread (normally you get bread for free before you get your food). He says "oh okay, garlic bread" and walks away. It's so hard to stop him or clarify anything with him because he talks so fast and walks away. Literally the bottle of water was 5.90 euro and the "garlic" bread was over 10 euros. Then after he gives us the check he shows me his phone and says this is how much after the tip. What??! The service sucked and the food wasn't even that great. We did not tip. Also because the tip is actually included in the bill.

Don't go to this place. There's probably a whole lot better restaurants in Paris anyways!

Once we sat down we realized it was a total tourist trap. The staff was rude and gave very poor service. We observed them turn 3 different groups of customers away. One was because they wanted to sit and drink coffee inside, and they said no, only outside.

Food was average but definitely not worth the price. Totally inflated for tourists. Will never go there again.

They also demanded a tip when I went to pay. I told them no (because I am familiar with the fact that you generally don't tip-unless you want to). When I told him no, he started to mock me for not tipping him. He kept saying I should be tipping him at least 20%. I told him, sorry, we aren't in the US, I am only paying the amount stated on the bill.

WARNING TO TOURISTS. Please avoid this place at all costs. We were scammed into tipping as they were swiping our card. The server had the nerve to ask us if we wanted to leave a 15% or 18% tip. Which, is not something that is commonplace in Europe. The price on the receipt is the price you pay. Of course, you CAN absolutely tip if you enjoyed the service, but for the server to ASK us to tip, I wasn't okay with that. They seem friendly and cheerful, and they do speak English and will joke with you and seem inviting. But avoid this place and don't feel cheated like we did. Our final bill after the tip they asked us for was about $141-150 Euros. It was my mistake for not reading up on this place first before sitting down. But it was our first night in Paris and we were hungry.

And the food is very subpar for the price. Bland, dry, and not worth the price at all. Way better restaurants out there. We asked for TAP WATER, which is free in most places in Paris and tastes just fine. The server said they did NOT have tap water and brought us out Evian bottled waters that cost about 4-5 Euros EACH. There were 4 of us, so that was about 20 Euros total just for water.

Again, do yourself a favor and don't come here. The restaurant is conveniently located, but if you're a tourist, please go somewhere else and don't feel cheated like us. Luckily this was our only bad experience eating out in Paris.

I've told all my friends who are going to be traveling to the city to avoid this place like the plague. Don't be fooled by their "friendly" vibe. They will milk you for all the Euros you have.

The best thing about this place is the view. It's centrally located on a busy corner and provides a nice patio for people watching. All the niceness this place has to offer ends there. Please save your precious vacation dollars and go somewhere else!

I was one of the tourists lured into this place by one of the servers standing on the sidewalk. My boyfriend and I had stopped to read the menu because we were looking to dine at a place that had an outdoor patio. Within moments of walking up one of the servers whisked us to a seat. We both decided to get one cocktail each that was offered on "special", a medium and a large. Little did we know, that alone was over $50.

The server was very charming, he knew exactly how to work us. Nothing on the menu was overly appealing and when he was away from our table we discussed how we wish we had chosen a different place. We just felt so bad leaving because of how enthusiastic and overly accommodating he seemed to be. We decided to go light and split a salmon pasta and a vegetarian salad. The only thing with flavor amongst the two dishes was the blue cheese on my salad-and I'm pretty sure that wasn't compliments of the chef. Even the salt and pepper couldn't save these dishes! After forcing down the insipid food I ordered a latte to go ($15).

At the end we were absolutely taken aback by a bill that came to $145. For what? The view? The bland and tasteless food? The normal size $30 drinks ? It was a rip off, a TOURIST TRAP! Before showing the total the server came to the table with a credit card machine asking "how much tip will you add?" He began rambling percentages, starting with 50% and working his way down. Since this was our first stop after our hotel it hadn't occurred to us yet to review the tipping policy. Under pressure we said 10%. We weren't sure exactly what the norm is but we knew it was nothing near American standards. Little did we know after speaking with locals even 5% is generous in Paris so it's funny that he started with 50%.

Please do not go here. Even our best meal in Paris didn't cost us $150 with tip. There are so many other options. Just say no and walk away!
